Attorney Christopher L. Taylor, of Brownsville, Tennessee, graduated from Haywood County High School in 1987. After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in political science, he obtained a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Arkansas State University.
While still in law school, Taylor began working at Hill-Boren P. C. as a clerk performing legal research, assisting in depositions, and learning the day-to-day practice of law. The following summer, Taylor graduated from the University of Tennessee College at Law and became licensed to practice law in the fall with Hill-Boren. Later, Mr. Taylor became a shareholder and manager of Hill-Boren’s Memphis Office.
In July 2011, Mr. Taylor opened Taylor & Toon, PLLC, along with Shannon L. Toon. The law firm of Taylor & Toon, PLLC will continue to practice in the areas of personal injury law, including automobile accidents, workers’ compensation, premises liability, medical negligence, and some employment matters.
Mr. Taylor has successfully tried numerous personal injury, employment discrimination and workers compensation cases, including the pioneering color-discrimination case Brack v. Shoneys.
Mr. Taylor is licensed to practice in all Tennessee State Courts, the United States Western and Middle Districts of federal courts, and the United States Sixth Circuit Federal Appellate Court.
He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Tennessee Association for Justice, the Tennessee Bar Association, the National Bar Association, Ben F. Jones Chapter, the NAACP and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He has served as Vice President for West Tennessee and on the Executive Committee for the Tennessee Association for Justice and delegate to the Minority Caucus for the American Association for Justice. He also serves as District Counselor for the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Fifth District.
In June of 1995, he married the former Chantal Hess of Brownsville. The Taylors have a daughter, Gabrielle and a son, Christopher L. Taylor, Jr. Mr. Taylor is the son of the late William and Fannie Taylor of Brownsville.
Taylor & Toon, PLLC, represents individuals in Greater Memphis and throughout west Tennessee, including residents of Jackson, Collierville, Germantown and Dyersburg.
